抄録 | Book Five,Chapter One of the Nyaya-sutra (NS 5.1) is concerned with the ways in which replies to arguments can fail to be adequate. I shall be concerned with the kind of rejoinder discussed at NS 5.1.2. In particular,I wish to draw attention to some anomalies in Vatsyayana’s formulation of his examples, anomalies which have gone,at least unremarked,if not unnoticed. |
