| 抄録 | This is Mr. Fang’s filiation of a Buddhist manuscript entitled Fo ShuoXiaoshunzi Xiuxing Chengfo Jing (A Sutra Story Told by the Buddha abouta Filial and Obedient Son Who Attained Buddhahood by Practising Bud-dhism), which is one of the MSS brought to light at Dunhuang. His studyof the contents and style of writing has convinced him that it is a transla-tion of a long-lost but genuine Indian Jataka s(?)tra and not a Chinese fabri-cation as some ancient Chinese monks thought it to be. Here Mr. Fangcomes up with the possible dates of the original and the Dunhuang texts,andalso appraises the significance of the MS’s discovery to Buddhist studies.
