抄録 | A discussion of liturgical texts used in Vietnam, the social context of Buddhist liturgy, and correspondence between text and musical context in performance. Conceptually, beautiful poetry combines with aesthetically pleasing vocal expression regulated by physical control from low and soft to loud and dramatic exclamations, and from simple to complex melodies, as illustrated in the musical styles of tung (perseverance),tri (praise),and tan (glorification). |
