抄録 | Some specialists in Buddhist philosophy state that the Buddhist philosopher Nagarjuna revolutionized and undermined the foundations both of early and of scholastic Buddhism,by defending that whatever is interdependently originated is empty of inherent existence, that is to say,it is emptiness ("shunyata"). However, the texts of the historical Buddha and,for instance, the scholastic texts of the "Theravada" tradition, prove that Nagarjuna opposes neither the philosophy of the Buddha nor the schools of scholastic Buddhism, but only the substantialist deviations of Buddhist scholasticism. Nagarjuna re-establishes and continues Buddha's philosophy from a different philosophical context. |
