抄録 | Nepal China Society believes that the publication of this volume is a modest effort aimed at serving academic excellence in the field of Buddhism particularly with the Chinese connection. Because the historical Buddha was born in Nepal, his teachings are of immense significance for the Nepalese and they are embedded spiritually and historically with the Nepali sentiment. However, it is no less important for people living in other parts of the globe. The aim of this book is not to limit Buddhism within a small periphery of Nepal but to highlight it as the icon of cultural and historical interaction. Thus, it aims at highlighting its influence in China in historical perspective.
This book is the first effort of Nepal-China Society to publish scholarly works on Buddhism. Nepal-China Society is determined to continue publishing similar books in the future with the fond hope of strengthening relations between Nepal and China. |
