抄録 | This article focuses on Theravada, the "Teaching of the Elders." Theravada, with Pali as scriptural language, is described as a form of Buddhism that is easily recognized by its icons, culture and teachings. Theravada can be found nowadays in countries like New Zealand, Uganda and Italy and includes such teachings as the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path. The article also offers a historical account of the formation of Theravada and mentions the places where Theravada originated. |
