抄録 | This paper will first clarify the claim that Buddhism is psychology. It will then address some similarities and differences between Buddhist and Western psychology. Several potential approaches will be suggested for integrating the two systems to make them complementary to each other. The suggested approaches for integration will include considerations from the perspectives of both theory and psychotherapeutic application. It is hoped that based on this thread of contemplation, some theoretical and practical models of a new integrated psychology may be developed for the purpose of advancing human wisdom and overall well-being. |
