This article examines all the facts,including the reactions of Qing government officials of different ranks following the discovery of the Hidden Library,analyzes the transactions between Taoist Wang and Sir Aurel Stein,and points out that Stein was not the pioneer of Dunhuang studies and that the proprietary rights of Dunhuang cultural relics belong to Dunhuang. |
