| 抄録 | The purpose of this paper is to clarify the features of Kanae Tadaʼs （1875-1937）faith and thought after 1914, the second half of his life. It deals mainly with articles in the magazine Midorigo. The following results were obtained: （1）In the second half of his life, Tada opposed any understanding of Buddhism based on oneʼs own personal experience or personal introspection as advocated by teachers such as Daiei Kaneko and Haya Akegarasu. （2）Moreover, he criticized “academic” understanding of the Buddhist teachings. （3）He believed that only oneʼs sincere faith in Amitābha Buddha brought out the correct Buddhist understanding. |
