| 抄録 | 이 연구의 목적은 고려 말의 나옹 혜근(懶翁 慧勤, 1320~1376)의 무심학의 지형도를 밝혀내는 것이다. 깨달음을 얻은 뒤 그는 중국으로 건너가 11년간 유력하면서 평산(平山)과 지공(指空)에게 인가를 받고 검풍(劒風)과 할풍(喝風)을 전수받아 자기의 무심선풍(無心禪風)으로 확립시켰다. 그의 무심선은 중생을 이익되게 하고(衆生利益) 돈오무심하는 가풍이었으며(無心可用) 이 두 측면을 조견면목(照見面目)의 논리를 통해 확보되었다.
나옹은 ‘조견면목’의 매개항을 통해 ‘무심가용’의 도리와 ‘이익중생’의 가풍을 실현했다. 그는 지공의 검풍과 평산의 할풍을 계승하였다. 그리고 그는 그것을 자기 내면 속에서 숙성시키고 발효시켜 무심선풍으로 꽃피웠다.
나옹은 선사이면서도 대중을 맞이해서는 정토사상과 밀교사상까지도 원용하여 제접 교화하였다. 동시에 그는 가사 양식을 빌어 ｢서왕가｣ 등의 노래를 지어 보급함으로써 보다 많은 대중들과 교감의 길을 열었다는 점에서 우리는 나옹을 고려후기의 대표적 선사로서 평가할 수 있다.
The aim of this rearch is to throw light on a topographical map of frame of Musim of Naong Hyegeun(1320~1376) in the last term of Koryo Dynasty. After enlightenment, he established to Musimseon(無心禪) a style that was handed down to the way of Geom(劒風) and the way of Hal(喝風) from Pyungsan(平山) & Geegong(指空) for go over to Chinese traveling during eleven years. His Musim seon is to profit living things(利益衆生) and to the way of Sudden & Musim(頓悟無心), this two aspects secured for lead to theory of stare at face & eyes(照見面目).
Naong realized to reason of Sudden & Musim and to the way of profit living things with a medium of stare at face & eyes. He succeeded to the way of Geom(劒風) of Geegong and the way of Hal(喝風) of Pyungsan. And He made flowers opened the way of Musimseon to ferment and mature in his inside. In spite of as a seon priest master, Naong edificated to invoke Thought of Pureland and Esoteric Buddhism.
Simultaneously in the points opened the way of consensus for the mass of people with the spread of Seo Wang Ga(西往歌) to make a poem in borrow a mode of lyric lines, we can estimate as a representative seon priest master in the last term of Koryo Dynasty.
