抄録 | The Sahassavatthupakaraṇa, 'An Anthology of Amusing Tales', was composed by a certain Raṭṭhapāla of the Guttavaṅka monastery in Sri Lanka, probably some time between 900-1250 AD. Its oldest surviving manuscripts date to the 16th century AD; this translation of its first few stories is based on the edition of Ver Eecke Filliozat and Filliozat (Bangkok, 2003).
