| 抄録 | 『楞伽經』은 부처님의 성스러운 가르침을 간직한 『楞伽阿跋多羅』라고 불리운다. 이 경이 성립될 당시에 대승불교가 직면하고 있던 여러 가지의 문제점들을 광범위하게 취급하고 있다. 또한 대승의 교리를 체계적으로 설한 것이 아니라 각 품이 별개의 독립된 성격의 내용을 담고 있는 독특한 형식을 취하고 있다.
이 경전의 주요 특징은 如來藏과 阿賴耶識을 동시에 언급하고 있는 점에서 독특하다. 3自性과 8識 등 唯識의 기본개념은 물론, 二無我의 空사상 및 如來藏緣起說, 迷悟의 본질인 5法(名․相․分別․正智․眞如)등 갖가지 교리들이 설해져 있다. 이렇게 여러 교설이 망라되어 있어서 뚜렷한 체계를 갖추고 있지 않은 것처럼 보이기도 한다. 그러나 『능가경』에 흐르는 禪觀思想은 一心이며, 이 一心을 기반으로 不說一字, 自覺聖智, 指月, 宗通說通, 4種禪 등이 설해져 있다.
『능가경』은 4․7․10권 본 등이 있으나 선종과 관련된 것은 求那跋陀羅가 번역한 4권본 『楞伽阿跋多羅寶經』(443년)이다. 달마가 혜가에게 4권본 『능가경』을 주면서 수행의 현리를 삼도록 한 이래, 초기 선종 선사들의 소의경전이었다.
Lankavatara Sutra』is called Lankavatara Postscript which keeps divine teaching of Buddha. It widely covers various issues that Mahayana Buddhism was challenging in the period that this scripture was established. Moreover, it has a unique form that contains individual feature of each part, not systemically explaining doctrine of Mahayana.
Specialty of this scripture is that it refers both Tathagatagarbha and Alaya at the same time. It explains not only basic concepts of consciousness such as three characteristics of self and eight senses but also five laws (title, phase, division, separation, wisdom and Tathata), essence of emptiness in two selflessness, Tathagatagarbha Origin, confusion and realization. Because it includes various doctrines, it seems like it does not have any distinct system. However, Zen thoughts over Lankavatara Sutra are one mind and it explains Bulseolilja, Consciously Cengage, Jiwol, Jongtongseoltong and four types Zen based on this one mind.
There are fourth, seventh and tenth edition of Lankavatara Sutra and among them, Neungaabaldarabogyeong (year 443), the fourth edition translated by Gunabhadra which is related to Zen types. Since Dharma gave four Lankavatara Sutra to Hyega and asked him to take it as an esoteric principle of practice, it became Souigyeongjeon of Buddhist priests of Zen in the early period.
