| 抄録 | 本文把歐美佛教研究學術史劃為四個階段:一、19世紀20-70年代,是起步階段,確立了以"佛教文獻學"為主導的研究範式;二、19世紀80年代到二戰,是成熟階段,在佛典校勘、佛教考古與思想解讀等方面取得了重要的成果,形成了舊英德學派、列寧格勒學派與法比學派;三、二戰結束到70年代,是轉型階段,東亞佛教尤其是藏傳佛教,受到了空前的重視,在傳統的文獻學與哲學研究之餘,兼顧適應國際政治需要的"地區研究",在方法上更多涉及佛教的社會史、政治史等領域。四、80年代以來,歐美佛教研究中心從歐洲轉到北美,佛教學術空前繁榮,西方佛教學者置疑他們自身的學術傳統與理論預設,探討佛教與西方社會深度交流的可能。
This paper divided the academic history of Buddhist research in Europe and America into four stages:1,20—70 decades of 19th century,this was initiative stage,established the research pattern by taking "Buddhist documentary" as main guide;2,80 decade of 19th century to Second World War, This was mature stage, achieved the important fruit in the aspects of correction of the Buddhist classics,Buddhist archaeology and ideological explanation, formed old English and German School, Leningrad School and French/Belgian School; 3,from the
end of Second World War to 70 decade,this was transforming stage, East Asia Buddhism,especially Tibetan Buddhism,have been attached great importance, beyond the
researches of traditional documentary and philosophy, also made“regional study”that adapted to international political demand, methodologically much more concerned the fields of social history,political history of Buddhism;4,since80 decade, the Buddhist research centre of Europe and America transferred from Europe to North America, Buddhist scholarship unprecedentedly prosperous,West Buddhist scholars questioned the academic tradition and theoretical presupposition of themselves, explored the possibility of profound communication between Buddhism and West society.
