| 抄録 | My purpose is to do a comparative study of Katsumi Takizawa and John B. Cobb, Jr. in terms of their interpretation of Christ in parallel with Buddha based on their Logos Christology in a religiously pluralistic world. They both have broken through the limitations of Barth's Christo-centric theology by elu- cidating the unique, universal character of Christ as Logos. They have creatively transformed the objectified figure of Christ into what Takizawa calls the Proto- factum Immanuel (God with us) of every human being which is incessantly operative, as Cobb proposes, as the principle of liberation in the universe at large and in the history of art and theology in particular. The article is in two parts: Part One introduces the thought of Takizawa with comparison to Cobb, while Part Two summarizes the thought of Cobb in comparison to Takizawa and offers concluding remarks. |
