| 抄録 | Ave 94 of the Mogao Grettoes was constructed by Zhang Huaishen as his benefi-cence cave and the“North Great Statue”was reconstructed at the satne time. There havebeen five different views of the dating of reconstruction of the“North Great Statue”andconstruction of Cave 94. The present paper holds that the dating of reconstruction of the“North Great statue” should be from the lst moon of The Znd year of Qianfu to the sixthyear of Qianfu and the construction of Cave 94 started in the sixth year of Qianfu andwas completed before the fourth moon of the 2nd year of Zhonghuo, according to thewritten time of“Ci-Bian-miao-shengzan”and the dating of building the two tabletsof Merits and Good Deeds of Zhang Huaishen and Construction of Cave94 by ZhangHuaishen and other meterials.
