| 抄録 | adhimukti는 한문 번역어만도 勝解 혹은 信解를 비롯해 거의 서른에가까운 번역어가 있어 일관된 이해를 하기가 쉽지 않다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 다양한 양상을 지닌 adhimukti(勝解/信解)에 대해 『구사론』Abhidharmakoaśabhāṣya 및 그에 대한 야쇼미트라(Yaśomitra)의 주석서 Sphuṭaarthā- Abhidharmkośavyākhyā를 중심으로 고찰하고자 한다.
『구사론』에서 심소로서 등장하는 adhimukti에 대해 야쇼미트라는 세 가지 양상의 adhimukti를 소개하고 있다. 그런데, 그 각각이 무엇을 의미하는지가 명료하지 않다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 야쇼미트라가 기술한 세 가지adhimukti가 무엇을 지시하는 것인지를 추적해 보고자 한다.
물론 adhimukti에 대해서는 이미 다양한 연구 성과가 축적되어 있다. 그러나, 야쇼미트라가 제시하고 있는 adhimukti에 대한 종합적인 연구는 사꾸라베 하지메(桜部 健)의 연구를 제외하면, 사실상 찾아보기가 어렵다.
본 연구에서 사용하는 주된 방법은 adhimukti에 대해 유관 문헌에서의용례를 살펴보는 것인데, 이와 더불어 야쇼미트라의 학파적 정체성에 대해서도 고려할 필요가 있었음을 밝혀 둔다.
본 연구를 통해 야쇼미트라가 adhimukti의 다양한 양상을 매우 입체적으로 기술하고 있음을 확인할 수 있을 것이다. 또한 그 가운데 일부는 대승불교와 깊은 관련이 있는 개념임을 알 수 있으리라 생각된다.
As for adhimukti, there are nearly 30 kinds of translations in chinese translation, and therefore it is not easy to have a consistent understanding for adhimukti. In this study, I am going to examine the concept of adhimukti, focusing on the Vasubandhu’s Abhidharmakośabhāṣya and the commentary of Yaśomitra, Sphuṭārthā Abhidharmkośavyākhyā.
‘Adhimukti’ was presented as one of mahābhūmikas(mental states, 十大 地法) in the Abhidharmakośabhāṣya. Commenting on adhimukti, Yaśomitra introduced it’s three aspects. However, it is not so clear what those three aspects of adhimukti mean. In this study, I would try to illuminate what those adhimuktis are indicated.
Of course, a considerable researches already have been accumulated about adhimukti. However, a comprehensive study for adhimukti commented by Yaśomitra is not hardly found, except for Hajime Sakurabe(桜部 健,1973).
The main method used in this study is to examine examples of adhimukti in the relevant literatures. In addition to this, the scholastic identity of Yaśomitra is need to be considered.
Through this study, it would be clear that Yaśomitra is showing a various aspects of adhimukti. And we could know that one of them is deeply connected with Mahāyāna Buddhism. |
