| 抄録 | 코로나19의 발생으로 인하여 종교단체는 포교의 위축을 걱정한다. 그러나 인간의생명까지도 위협하는 코로나19의 공포는 불교의 포교를 활성화시키는 요인이 될 수도 있다. 종교의 기능은 본래 인간에게 안녕과 행복을 제공해주는 것이고, 이는 붓다의 전도선언과도 맥을 같이하기 때문이다. 코로나19 사태 이후 한국사회의 종교단체들은 주로 수입 감소로 인한 재정의 어려움을 토로하였다. 그러나 본고는 불교가코로나19 시대에 사회적으로 수행할 종교적 기능과 역할에 초점을 둔 포교방안을마련하는데 주력하였다. 그 첫 번째는 한국불교의 포교가 불교교단의 재정 수입을목적으로 삼지 않고 공공의 선(善)을 추구하는 ‘공공성 강화’다. 두 번째는 코로나19 로 인하여 심리적 불안에 빠진 사람들에게 ‘위로와 안정’을 제공하는 것이다. 이와같이 불교의 사회적 기능과 역할의 관점에서 포교를 조명한 후, 마지막으로 코로나19의 기술적 관점에서 ‘신행문화의 사이버화’를 포교방안으로 제시하였다.
Due to the outbreak of Corona19, religious groups are concerned about the shrinking of missionary work. However, the fear of Corona19, which threatens even human life, may be a factor in revitalizing Buddhist mission. The function of religion is to provide well-being and happiness to human beings, because it is in line with the Buddha’s evangelism declaration. After the Corona19 incident, religious groups in Korean society mainly complained about financial difficulties due to a decrease in income. However, this paper focused on preparing a missionary plan focusing on the religious functions and roles that Buddhism will perform socially in the era of Corona19. The first is the ‘reinforcement of publicity,’ in which the mission of Korean Buddhism seeks public good, not for the purpose of financial income for the Buddhist order.
The second is to provide ‘comfort and stability’ to people who are in psychological anxiety due to Corona19. In this way, after illuminating the missionary work from the viewpoint of the social function and role of Buddhism, finally, from the technical point of view of Corona19, ‘cyberization of religious activities’ was proposed as a missionary plan. |
