| 抄録 | “이 세상 모든 사물의 참모습은 어떠한가?” 중관사상에서는 空이라고 말하고, 유식사상에서는 有라고 말한다. 과연 무엇이 진실인가? 본고는 원효대사로부터 그 대답을 들어보고자 한다. 그는 이 문제와 관련하여, 일반저서에서는 해당 주제와 관련하여 부분적으로 논의하였으며, 『십문화쟁론』에서는 이를 체계적으로 논술하였다.
먼저, 일반저서에서 몇 가지를 발견할 수 있었다. 중생들은 부처님께서 말씀하신 중도를 비방하고 잘못된 견해에 빠져있으며, 중생들이 그러한 이유는 부처님의 말씀이 언어를 초월해 있기 때문이다. 또한, 부처님은 實際를 변화시키지 않은 채 諸法을 세우고, 假名을 무너뜨리지 않은 채 實相을 설명하시는데, 부처님이 그러하신 이유는 공과 유는 서로 다르지 않기 때문이다.
다음, 『십문화쟁론』에서는 몇 가지를 탐구하였다. ｢공유화쟁문｣의 잔간은 ‘유설과 공설이 모두 옳다’고 회통한 뒤에, 그 회통근거에 대해서 보충설명하고 있으며, ｢공유화쟁문｣의 구조는 유설과 공설의 ‘주장’, ‘논란’, ‘회통’으로 추정된다. 또한, ｢공유화쟁문｣이 『십문화쟁론』에 등장하는 순서는, 기존의 견해와는 달리, 『십문화쟁론』의 총론으로서 제1문으로 등장하였을 것으로 생각된다.
“According to the ultimate viewpoint, does everything in the world exist or not?” On this question, the thought of consciousness-only (vijñānavadā) says, “It does exist,” and the thought of middle way (mādhyamaka) says, “It does not exist.” Whose theory is right? This article is trying to hear Wonhyo’s answer on this issue.
First of all, we can find some points in his ordinary books. ‘Sentient Beings’ slander the truth of middle way and are addicted to the extreme theories because Buddha’s words transcend the ordinary people’s words. However, ‘Buddha’ says to build the every dharma without changing the real features and to explain the core nature without destroying the superficial shape because he or she knows about that the Existence is not different from the Emptiness.
Moreover, we can explore some points in The Treatise on the Reconciliation of Disputes in Ten Aspects. The remains of The Chapter on the Reconciliation of Dispute in the Existence and the Emptiness give the solution on the dispute and explain about the reason of the solution. And the chapter may be consisted of ‘the Assertion,’ ‘the Argument,’ and ‘the Solution’ being the first chapter as a general remarks in the treatise. |
