| 抄録 | 불자신행은 불교복지의 자원이며 지표이다. 불교계의 건강성과 불자의 충실도를 점검하는 척도를 개발하려는 것이 이 연구의 목적이다.
명상이나 종교성 척도를 개발해 온 선행연구들을 참고하면서 불자들이 알아야 할 근본적인 교리와 수행과 목표를 감안하여, 불자의 종교적 경험을 물을 수 있는 적합한 질문들을 만들고자 하였다. 전문가들과 상의하여 38개의 문항을 확정하고, 척도의 신뢰성을 위하여 신․해․행․증의 네 요인 간 내적 합치도를 분석하니 상관계수(Cronbach’s α값)가 .969로 서 상당히 높은 수준을 얻었다.
내용타당성에 있어서도, 신행경력이나 하루 중 신행시간이 긴 사람 혹은 불자로서의 자부심이나 행복감이 높은 사람이 전체적인 신행척도와 각각의 척도 값에서 모두 높게 나왔다는 것이 일단 척도의 적절성을 보여주는 것 같다. 또한 신행경력과 일일 신행시간이 불자로서의 자부심에 유의미한 정적 상관이 있고, 신행경력․신행시간․자부심이 불자의 행복감에도 유의미한 정적 상관을 보여주었다. 신도회 활동에도 헌신하는 불자들의 신행척도가 전반적으로 높았다. 사찰의 법회 등 교육 프로그램을 주로 참석하는 불자들이 신행척도에 부적 상관관계인 것에 비해서, 수행활동에 주로 참여하는 불자들은 신행척도와 정적 상관관계가 있다는 것도 주목할 만한 점이라고 본다. 그밖에 불교인구의 절대다수인 전업주부 불자들의 신행지수가 다른 직업군에 비하여 대체로 높은 편이었다.
Buddhist’s belief progress must be the resource and the indicator of the buddhist welfare. The belief progress is meant to ‘believe in-understand-practice-accomplish’ the buddhism. Here the scale was developed in order to reflect on the buddhist’s religious wellbeing.
My pre-questionnaire was examined by the statistical methods, factor-analysis and Cronbach’s coefficient alpha, Pearson correlation coefficient, significant p-value, t-test and ANOVA. Finally the scale of 38 items was proved its reliability by the internal consistency, Crobach’s α .969. It’s highly good result.
The content validation as well as the statistical examination was so much reliable. Buddhist’s long term and daily commitment, sense of happiness, degree of self-confidence etc. all the variables are in significantly positive correlation to the value of belief progress. Also the long term and the daily committment of belief are significantly correlated to the sense of happiness and the self-confidence.
As a conclusion, this scale is thought to be useful for the examination of Buddhist’s belief progress. Nevertheless it needs more chances of validation like any other developing the psycho-social scales. |
