| 抄録 | 혜암 성관(慧菴性觀)은 중도의 정견과 돈오의 사상을 중심으로 수행의 방법과원리를 제시하였다. 그러나 간화의 사상과 방법을 제시할 때 자신 스스로가 증험한 방식을 중심으로 경전과 조사어(祖師語)를 인용하고 해석하였다.
선사는 화두 참구의 과정과 관련하여 대원(大願), 신심, 분심, 의심을 강조하였다. 특히 대원을 통해 보살심을 다지고, 수행의 처음과 끝을 관통하는 원력을통해 생사에서 벗어나 다른 이들을 도울 것을 강조하였다. 또한 화두 참구를 하게 되면 동정일여, 몽교일여, 숙면일여, 오매일여의 경계를 지나 깨치게 된다고 말하였다.
선사는 화두 공부의 근기는 따로 없기에 화두에 대한 의심을 통해서 공부만하면 누구나 수행하여 깨달을 수 있다고 역설하였다. 선사가 제시한 화두 공부의핵심은 한 생각 일어나기 이전 소식으로 의심해 들어가는 것이다. 선사의 이러한화두 공부법은 출재가 공통의 수행 가풍을 이루게 하였고 재가자들을 간화선에적극적으로 끌어들이게 한 원동력이 되었다.
Hyeam presented the method and the principle of practice based on the Middle Way of Correct view and the Sudden enlightenment. But when presenting the ideas and methods of Ganhwa, he cited and interpreted the scriptures and the Dharma Discourse of zen Masters on the way of self - examination.
Hyeam emphasized that when practicing the Ganhwa Seon, we will break through the immutability of throughout movement and non - movement, the immutability of throughout dreaming, the immutability of throughout deep sleeping, the sameness of deep sleeping and then can become enlightened immediately beyond the gradual stages of practice.
The essence of the Zen master Hyeam’s Ganhwa seon is that doubting the realm where no delusion rises. This is a way to follow the meaning of Hwadu, not the formal transformation of a way of practice Ganhwa. These Hyeam’s style become a dynamic to make Buddhist practice Hwadu actively. |
