| 抄録 | 법장의 『기신론소(起信論疏)』는 『기신론의기(起信論義記)』로 널리 알려져 있다. 2권 혹은 3권 혹은 7권으로 분권되기도 하는데, 가장 빠른 기록인 「기해동서(寄海東書)」에서의 명칭은 『기신론소』이며, 2권이다.
법장의 『기신론소』에는 주지하다시피 원효의 영향이 곳곳에서 확인되지만, 동아시아에서는 가장 많이 연구되어 그 주석서도 근세까지 이어진다. 그런데, 법장의 『기신론소』는 명대 이후 중국에서는 찾을 수 없다. 반면에 우리나라에서는 고려시대 간본의 존재가 알려져 있다. 현재 가장 많이 활용되는 대정신수대장경 수록본은 에도시대 간본을 모본으로 한 것이다. 일본의 현존본 법장의 『기신론소』는 전부 『기신론의기』라 불리며, 고산사 사본이 가장 빠르다. 그 외 여러 곳에서 사본과 간본을 확인할 수 있다.
최근에 간경도감(刊經都監) 간행 법장 『기신론소』의 존재가 경북대 남권희교수의 소개로 알려졌다. 간경도감본 『기신론소』를 고려시대 간본 및 일본 유통본과 교감한 결과 상당한 차이가 확인된다. 본고는 그런 상위 가운데, 특히 사상적으로 의미가 있는 두 문제를 선택하여 간경도감본 『기신론소』의 의의를 이해하고자 하였다. 첫째는 능전교체 가운데 표목의 차이로 인한 사상적 차이이다. 둘째는 시각의 사위 가운데, 불각과 상사각에 대한 해석 상 차이이다. 두 문제를 분석한 결과 간경도감본 『기신론소』 능전교체의 교통제법문은 교체 가운데 가장 높은 경지로 이해할 수 있으며, 불각과 상사각의 상위에서는 미혹을 끊는 것은 제2위인 상사각부터임이 강조되어 해석되었음을 알 수 있다.
The Qixinlunshu 起信論疏 of Fazang 法藏 (634-712), also widely known as the Qǐxìnlùnyìjì 起信論義記, is distributed in two or three volumes. According to the earliest records of the Jìhǎidōngshū 寄海東書 (the epistles between Fazang and Uisang), it is called the “Qixinlunshu” and has two volumes.
In East Asia, Fazang's Qixinlunshu has been studied more than any other commentary related to the Dàshèngqǐxìnlùn 大乘起信論. However, it has not been used since the Ming Dynasty in China, while in Korea, the existence of Goryeo-era publications is well-known. In Japan, it is most widely used in the Daijoshinshu-Tripitaka 大正新脩大藏經, which is based on the Edo woodblock-printed version. There are currently about 10 versions of Qixinlunshu in Japan, but they are all called “Qǐxìnlùnyìjì”. Among them, the manuscript of the Kozanji Temple 高山寺 is the oldest.
Recently, the existence of Fazang's Qixinlunshu published by Gangyongdogam which differs considerably from other texts, has been acknowledged. Among those differences, this study examines sought to understand the significance of the Qixinlunshu published by Gangyongdogam by analyzing selecting two issues that were particularly ideologically meaningful issues.
First, ideological clarity is guaranteed by the difference in the table of contents among the expressions of the essence of teachings 能詮敎體. Second, the interpretative difference appears between the first stage of the non-enlightenment 不覺 and the second stage of the semblance enlightenment 相似覺 among the four stages of initial enlightenment 始覺. The results of analyzing the two issues can be summarized as follows: First, the text published by Gangyongdogam understands the doctrine of the teaching penetrates everything 敎通諸法門 as the highest level of the expressions of the essence of teaching. Furthermore, it emphasizes that karma is realized only in the first stage of non-enlightenment, and delusion could be cut off in the second stage of the semblance enlightenment. It remains an important task to review the posterior issues between each text in the future.
