| 抄録 | 이 논문은 유식사상이 교설로서 체계화되기 이전에 삼성설의 원형으 로 상정되는 『보살지』 ｢진실의품｣의 ‘vastu’와 『중변분별론』의 ‘abhūtaparikalpa(허망분별)’의 사상적․구조적 관계에 대한 이해를 통해 삼성설과 이제의 관계 등 교리적으로 발전해 가는 초기 유식학파의 존 재론의 형태와 그 의의를 사상사적으로 살펴본 것이다. 이 때 『해심밀 경』 ｢무자성상품｣의 말미에 설해진 ‘삼전법륜설’의 해석학적 지평과 『석 궤론』에서 유식학파의 이제설에 대한 설명 가운데 제시된 세친의 해석 학적 입장을 그 기반으로 삼았다. 사실 『구사론』『석궤론』 ｢진실의품｣ 등에 설시된 유식학파의 이제설에 관련된 기술이나 그 해석학적 입장들 은 유식학파의 존재론을 파악하는 데 중요한 실마리를 제공한다. 특히 ｢진실의품｣에 인용된 『전유경』 의 구절에 대한 유식학파의 견해는 삼성 설과 이제설의 긴밀한 구조적 관계를 시사한다. 따라서 삼성과 이제의 관계를 통한 초기유식학파의 존재론의 형태에 대한 탐구는 유식사상의 3대 이론 가운데 하나인 삼성설의 철학적․실천적 의의 등 유식사상의 구조체계를 파악하는 데 어느 정도 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
This paper purports to probe into the structure of the ontology of the early Yogācāra-vijñānavāda and its significance in the history of the development of Buddhist doctrines with special reference to the relationship between the three natures and the two truths. It especially focuses on the understanding of the doctrinal and structural relation between the 'vastu' in the chapter of the Tattvārtha in the Bodhisattva-bhūmi and the 'abhūtaparikalpa' in the Madhyāntavibhāga. For these concepts are understood to have served as the prototypes of the theory of the three natures prior to the doctrinal systematization of the notion of vijñapti-mātra. This study is based upon the hermeneutical ground of the Tridharmacakra advanced at the end of the chapter of the niḥsvabhāvalakṣaṇa in the Saṃdhinirmocanasūtra and the hermeneutical stance of Vasubandhu put forward in the explanation of the theory of the two truths of the Yogācāra-vijñānavāda in his Vyākhyāyukti. In fact, important clues for grasping the ontology of the Yogācāra-vijñānavāda can be found in the descriptions of hermeneutical points concerning the theory of the two truths advanced in the Abhidharmakośabhāṣya, the Vyākhyāyukti, the Tattvārtha, etc. Especially, the Yogācāra-vijñānavāda's interpretation of some passages of the Bhavasaṃkrāntisūtra cited in the chapter of the Tattvārtha suggests a structural parallel between the theory of the three natures and the theory of the two truths. Accordingly, the study on the structure of the ontology of the early Yogācāra-vijñānavāda, with special reference to the relationship between the three natures and the two truths, might contribute considerably to the comprehension of the doctrinal systematization of the thought of the Yogācāra-vijñānavāda, including the philosophical and practical significance of the theory of the three natures as one of the three representative theories of this school. |
