The sutra on the heart of the perfection of wisdom.
Homage to the holly noble perfection of wisdom.
The noble bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara practicing a deep practice of the perfection of wisdom perceived: five constituents.
And he saw them as void of any existence on their own.
Here, Sariputra, the form is emptiness, emptiness is just the form.
Emptiness is not different from the form and the form is not different from emptiness.
What is the form, that is emptiness; what is emptiness, that is the form.
And just so it is with feeling, perception, mental impulses and consciousness.
Here, Sariputra, all the phenomena have the emptiness as the characteristic.
not arisen, not destroyed, not defiled, not purified, not lacking, not complete.
Therefore, Sariputra, in emptiness, there is no form, no feeling, no perception, no mental impulses, no consciousness.
No eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind.
No form, sound, scent, taste, touchable, mind-object.
No eye element..., until we come to: no consciousness-element.
No ignorance, no extinction of ignorance..., until we come to: no old age and death, no extinction of old age and death.
No suffering, arising, cessation, way.
No knowledge, no attainment, no non-attainment.
Therefore, Sariputra, it is because of bodhisattva's non-attainment
that he dwells without the hindrances of the mind, having resorted to the perfection of wisdom.
Because of non-existence of the hindrances of the mind, he is not frightened, he has crossed over distortions, at the end he will attain Nirvana.
All the Buddhas existing in the three times, having resorted to the perfection of wisdom,
have fully awakened to the highest and right awakenment.
Therefore one should know:
the perfection of wisdom as the great mantra, the mantra of great knowledge,
the highest mantra, the unequalled mantra, pacification of all suffering.
It is a truth - because it could not be wrong.
The mantra was proclaimed in the Perfection of Wisdom.
[It sounds] as follows: [For him or her] who is gone, who is gone, who is gone to the other shore, who is completely gone to the other shore, there is an awakenment, hail!
Thus, the heart of the perfection of wisdom is completed.
