Xiong Shili and Liang Shuming are famous modern chinese philosophers.The friendship between them,which cast for vearly half one antury,began in the summer vacation in 1919.Owing to Liang Shiming’s warm recommendation,Xiong Shili followwed nOuyang Jingwu,the great Buddhist philosopher to pursue his studies and gave lectares at Peking University.With superb talent,Xiong Shili didn’t follow the outmoded theories.Liang Shuming ever deeply admired him,but frequently criticized him as he didn’e agree with him.
