Shantarakshita was an Indian Buddhist adept whose work was taken to Tibet before 1200 CE & whose realised teachings about the nature of the mind were incorporated into Tibetan Buddhist thought. Mipham's commentary offers a thorough explanation of the meaning of Shantarakshita's philosophy.
Madhyamaka, or the Middle Way, is accepted by all schools of Tibetan Buddhism as the most profound expression, in philosophical terms, of emptiness, the true nature of phenomena.
