Join renowned Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh as he returns to his homeland of Vietnam for the first time after nearly forty years in exile. Among the monks, nuns and lay people who accompanied him was photographer Kate Cummings, whose images chronicle this historic trip. Kates photographs appear for the first time in print in our Thich Nhat Hanh 2007 wall calendar. Each month pairs an image of Thich Nhat Hanhs return to Vietnam with teaching text and meditations to support the practice of mindfulness. The aim of these practices is to cultivate the art of living in the present moment, for as this gentle teacher has written, Our true home is in the present moment, and if we want to enter Heaven on Earth, we need only take one conscious step, and one conscious breath. Thay (teacher) has been a tireless promoter of peace and understanding in the lives of individuals and nations. Text is courtesy of Parallax Press.
