摘要 | The article discusses how Buddhist monks used rituals for environmental protection in Thailand. Since the late 1970s, monks used rituals to challenge state-led capitalist development and to make people think about environmental degradation and its roots in human behavior. One of the rituals is tree ordination, in which monks consecrate community forests, thereby emphasizing the connections between people and nature. |
