".In the history,the "Shuilu Liberation Ceremony’"is at least divided into two systems to be known as "Southern Shuilu Liberation Ceremony "and "Northern Shuilu Liberation Ceremony".The present paper focus on "Northern Shuilu Liberation Ceremony Paintings"which is in northern China a part Shuilu Paintings of besides the "Yang’e Shuilu Liberation Ceremony","Southern Shuilu Liberation Ceremony ".These paintings are dated Danasty Ming and Qing, therefore,this investigation about "Northern Shuilu Liberation Ceremony Paintings"concretely related a study about Northern Shuilu Liberation Ceremony Paintings of Danasty Ming and Qing.These images are widely called "Northern Shuilu Liberation Ceremony Paintings" subondenated "Shuilu Paintings"by scholars.Organizing a Shuilu Liberation Ceremony must have a correspondent purification rituals and a correspondent "Paintings of the Liberation Rite of Water and Land(Shuilu)",so all of above mentioned elements unificated solidely and without separarely in the history itself.But by the eveluation and changes of the long history,a panorama view of Shuilu Liberation Ceremony in contemporary and modern period becomes more and more cloudly even misunderstand or misread for majority people,on the other hand,between a purification ritual and a "Paintings of the Liberation Rite of Water and Land(Shuilu)" exist a certain misasslociation.In this circumstances,in order to make a explanation which fulfilled a historical truth depend on finding out a real corresponded "Shuilu Liberation Ceremony" and "Purification ritual"Besides the Buddhist Sutra(Tripitaka),the author eventually find out a "Purification Ritual of Northern Shuilu Liberation Ceremony ",which is a new material to explain the "Northern Shuilu Liberation Ceremony Paintings".the religious and scholar realms do not know that "Purification Ritual "due to it not located in the Buddhist Sutra ,so that in the last 100 and more years.By the rediscover the "Purification Ritual ",it make the work easily.After a examination about this article which situated out of the Buddhist Sutra,the author suggest that Ritual text should be a "Purification Ritual of Northern Shuilu Liberation Ceremony ",and the survival Danasty Ming and Qing’s"Shuilu Paintings"in northern China is based on that ritual text ,even the "Northern Shuilu Liberation Ceremony Paintings",and the "Purification Ritual of Northern Shuilu Liberation Ceremony "was compiled by Tantra Vajrayana (Yuja Tantra).Based on this thinking,the author reconsider a "Shuilu Painting’s" context and the names of gods carefully due to the misunderstanding of the other scholar .A dissertation suggested that a themes of the "Paintings of the Liberation Rite of Water and Land(Shuilu)"should be the Buddhist,therefore,the recently suggestion about it is the complex of Confucianism , Buddhist and Taism theme is worth to revised.
