摘要
本文之目的,在論述道德教育中應具備對人性關注的慈悲構面,並試圖建構出以慈悲為本的道德教育模式。本文以Kohlberg與Gilligan、Habermas、Horkheimer與Adorno、佛家等觀點,來闡述慈悲與道德教育的關聯。其次則以道德情感、道德意志及道德行為的統整來建構出以慈悲為本的道德教育,也就是在自他平等、互為主體的關係之上,由意識到他者苦難,衍生出對他者苦難同感的慈悲情感,透過理性的介入來喚起自身的道德責任與承諾,並以實際的道德行為來減輕他者的苦難。文末則對如何實施以慈悲為本的道德教育提出建議。 In this article, we try to argue that compassion should be an important dimension of moral education. We aim to construct a compassion-based model of moral of moral education that is able to integrate moral affection with moral commitment and moral behavior. Perspectives if Kohlberg & Gilligan, Habermas, Horkheimer & Adorno, and Buddhism are introduced to analyze the connections between compassion are moral education. The sighificance of equal and inter-subject relationships between all individuals is artidculated in the framework of the compassion-based model of moral education proposed here. Being aware of the suffering of the others, one can give rise to compassion for the suffered individuals and thus being committed to perform actions that can lower the suffering of the others. In the final part of the article, we make several suggestions about how to put the compassion-based model of moral education into practice.
