Abstract: Rev. Tashi and Upasaka Ouyang Jingwu were the disciples of same guru, But their academic style and characteristics, were something different between the two famous modern Buddhist schools. Thus, so greatly influenced their separate followers as well as the harmonious and conflicted doctrines of modern Chinese Buddhism. Rev. Yingshun and Mr. WangEnyang also belong to the contemporaries, but they devoted to their own Guru separately. Rev. Yingshun and Mr. WangEnyang hadn’t their private intercourse, but they always happened the conflicts in their Buddhist studies. This paper investigated the intercourses of Rev. Yingshun and Mr. WangEnyang and discusses the arguments between them on the issues of Indian Buddhism; it shows the efforts of the significance for the promotion of the studies of Indian Buddhism in modern China and also reflected their differences traditions of Buddhist studies in modern China. Namely Rev. Yingshun, as the leadership of Wuchang Buddhist Academy and Upasaka Ouyang Jingwu as the leadership of Nanjing Buddhist Academy.
