Included in ancient Chinese official and private bibliographies, are a large number of Buddhist books and records, which are different from those included in catalogues of Buddhist sutras in both the style of classification and the range of description. And, at the same time, ancient official bibliographies are also different from the private ones in describing Buddhist books and records, which reflects the contradiction between the Great and the Little Vehicles of Buddhism and the three systems of knowledge through ages.
