智者一生著述豐富,不同階段的思想有一定的差異,關于心意識的說法也是如此。《法界次第初門》、《覺意三昧》等立足於中觀,以《般若》、《大集》、《大智度論》為依釋心意識。《法華玄義》、《法華文句》、《金光明經玄義》、《金光明經文句》等,將七、八、九識配合三軌等進行發揮,試圖將地、攝師的爭論與核心思想納入圓教系統,但解釋未免生硬。《維摩經玄疏》、《維摩經文疏》對於唯識學的理解已經相當準確,並基於此理解提出了自己一些獨特的看法。 Zhizhe's thoughts varied in different works,so was his consciousness thinking.The Beginning of Reality-realm Precedence and Sensing Mind Intent Contemplation are in accordance with the thoughts of the Original Buddhism and the Mādhyamika.The two books are intangible in describing the seventh consciousness.His Philosophy on Suvarnaprabhasottama sutra and Philosophy on Saddharma-pundarika Sutra emphasize on the seventh,eighth and ninth consciousnesses,regarding them as clear consciousnesses.And his Philosophy on Vimalakirti - Nivdesa Sutra and Detailed Exp lanation on Vimalakirti - Nivdesa Sutra emphasize onthe sixth, seventh, and eighth consciousnesses, regarding them as unclear ones.
