| 摘要 | The present paper has proved that the Two female donors painted on the lower partof wall of Cave 256 are figures of Mrs Song of Guangping and Mrs. Suo of Julu, CaoYijin’s Wives through investigating and textual reseach on the portraits of them. Acolophon about Mrs Song and Suo on the mural of cave 98 was written during the periodof Cao Yijin appointed as a commander General of Gui Yi Army, The colophan in Cave256 was the same with it in Cave 98, thus testifying that Cave 256 was built by CaoYuanshen originally. Dunhuang MS. P. 3457 may be the Note of Commemorating theBuilding of Cave 256
