摘要 | This volume, consisting of 13 chapters, is devoted to explaining and promoting an alternative development model, with a strong rural emphasis, derived from Buddhism. The principal geographical focus of attention is upon Thailand. Thailand's history is delineated, and it impinges upon development policy and practice. Three appendices deal respectively with the following:Thai case studies of organic farming; a village self-help scheme run by a North East Thai abbot; a reafforestation project in the 'forest monastery' of a Sino-Thai monk. |
