One of the achievements of the religious movement in modern Taiwan in the so-called Tz'u Chi phenomena. But from the sociological investigation, there are some important arguments between Tz'u Chi and Missionaries of Charity. Incidentally, we conclude some points. First of all, Missionaries of Charity is restored to the residual service model, although it also develops diverse religious welfare services. On the contrary, Buddhist Compassion Relief Tz'u Chi Foundation is based on modern Taiwan's economic developments to build the institutional service model. But the possibilities and limitations of these two religious welfare organizations still depend on the founder's world images.
