摘要
In the current resurgence of interest in Heidegger an important aspect of his thought has been neglected, namely, his long-standing interest in Asian philosophy. This collection brings together essays by twelve scholars from seven countries which discuss Heidegger's thinking in relation to Vedanta, Taoism,Zen,and Tibetan Buddhist philosophy. Heidegger's acquaintance with Asian thought is fully documented, and the five contributions by philosophers from Japan in particular provide a fresh perspective on his thinking.
