In this collection，fourteen scholars compare Buddhist and western psychological theories. Western psychologists considered include：Freud，Jung，Horney，Anna Freud，Medard Boss, the Stanford School and Pribram's holographic theories. These are compared with such Buddhist systems as：the Pali canon，the Mahayana schools of Madhyamaka, Yogacara and Zen，Nagarjuna, Dogen Zenji，tantric hagiographical texts and the Tibetan Rdzogs-Chen lineage.
