After dealing with the problem presented to Sinologists by the text of the Tao-Te-Ching，the author gives his own interpretation of the concept of "Tao" in contemporary terms. He then summarises the Taoist movement in all its major aspects, and concludes with a discussion of the acceptability of Taoist ideas today. |
