摘要
In the year 2000，the Research Institute of Tripitaka Koreana (RITK) announced the TK2002 as an upgrade of TK2000，for purpose of better digitalizing the Koreana Tripitaka. We are determined to put a series of finishing touches on the work. Additionally，we believe that this achievement can be called a "new step on the scholarly highway of advancement." Therefore，this program's database has been greatly supplemented for the specialized scholars who were unsatisfied with the TK2000. The new version will reflect the accumulated scholarly research of the RIKT. We have connected the original text data of the Koreana Tripitaka to the functions of the TK2002 for ease of use. Some of these functions are delineated and explained as follows: 1. Basic Rules for Data Processing a. Think of both general users and specialists. b. Consider linkage with the Digital Taisho. c. Devise distinctive illustrations to highlight the capabilities of the RITK. d. Connect resulting research items to the WEB for use next year. 2. Data Contents a. General Characteristics (1) Provide Unicode Text to general users. (2) Provide specialists and ich'eja (variants) with newly upgraded MS Word (for use outside Korea) and HWP (for use in Korea). (3) Link with the Taisho -- Accessing the Taisho by means of CBETA. Now users can think about linking the Koreana Tripitaka and the Taisho with ease. (4) Reflecting the successes of research on the TK2002 -- Utilizing the new Koryo Tripitaka with the punctuation that was completed by RIKT. (5) Links to distinctive illustrations and our own WEB site -- prepared XML and HTML programs. b. Detailed Characteristics (1) Erroneous Chinese characters in the Tripitaka Koreana are indicated by different colored characters. (2) Differences between the Taisho and the Tripitaka Koreana are posted on footnotes or maintained in different layers. (3) The option to view sentences and paragraphs (sentences use a punctuation information; paragraphs utilize the CBETA data). (4) View RIKT supporter information option. (5) TAG view option. (6) View to physical LINE BREAK option. (7) Punctuation view option. (8) Vertical or horizontal view option for the text of sutra blocks, with links to the punctuation marks program. (9) Indicating the ich'eja (variants) option. (10) MS WORD Edition，XML one，Tripitaka Koreana Unicode TEXT，Taisho Unicode TEXT，Image data of Tipitaka Koreana are systematically linked. c. Characteristics of Program Fields (1) General characteristics of the program (a) Korean，Chinese，Japanese，English language versions will be provided (currently in development). (b) The capability to use TK2002 with MS WORD is being developed. (2) Detailed characteristics of the program (a) Word statistical capability -- word use and type，compiled by word type，frequency，and cumulative use total. (b) Word abstraction capability -- each word is, by type，automatically abstracted line by line. (c) Electronic Chinese character dictionary capability -- provides RITK data and Muller data regarding Unicode Chinese characters; provides data on ich'eja (Variants). (d) Buddhist terminologies dictionary capability -- provides RITK data for use in Korea; for use outside Korea, provides Muller's data and data from the Pokwang Dictionary. (e) Biographical data provided -- in Korea, use RIKT data; outside of Korea use Japanese data. (f) Sutra reading/viewing capability. (g) Search capability. ˙Search by words -- considers Korean，Chinese，Japanese，and English language users; determination to use Global IME. ˙To provide an index when entering search word -- accesses Chinese character database by pronunciation，radical，total number of strokes; for the ease of searching for ch
