The essay “Manjusri: Origins, Role and Significance” written by American scholar Anthony Tribe was published
on Western Buddhist Review Volume 2 and 3, it is divided into three parts. It provides the evidence of the cult of
Manjusri at Wutaishan. In order to supply valuable academic resources for the research on Wutaishan culture, I try to
translate some material about Wutaishan abroad. Here I just select very small part of the essay because of the limited
space.
