Through a careful study on historical documents,this article put towards an opinion that the one in volume 14 of Hongming ji written by Monk Dao an and another in volume 29 of Guanghongm in gji was written by Monk Xingyou who alive in the Tang Dynasty. They have proven tobe an invaluable source for understanding Buddh iat culture between the E astern Jin Dynasty and the North and the South Dynasties to the Early Tang Dynasty.
