摘要
The article discusses the different elements of the Renjian Buddhism of religious and public leader Zhao Puchu. Topics covered include engaged Buddhism, the humanitarian interventions initiated by Vietnamese Zen Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh, and the entirely different fate of Renjian Buddhism in the People's Republic of China. Also mentioned is the Chinese Buddhist elites' adoption of political terms such as anti-imperialism, patriotism, and anti-feudalism.
