With increasing exchanges across the Taiwan Straits in recent years, Mainland Buddhists and scholars get a deeper comprehension on Ven. Yin-shun's works and thoughts, and related research is booming. Particularly in 2009 Zhonghua Book Company introduced Ven. Yin-shun's collected works by publishing for the first time the entire corpus of his writings in mainland China, laying a solid foundation for further studies. In this paper the author tries to outline the publishing and spreading history of Ven. Yin-shun's works in mainland China, and submits some personal observations and reflections. The first half part of the paper divides this historical process into three stages: 1949-1989, with few of the master's books unofficially printed and circulated within the Buddhist circle; 1990-2008, with several books officially published in the Mainland; since 2009, with a comprehensive edition of the master's extant writings introduced and published as an integral whole. Based on the latest data, the second half part of the paper describes and analyses the spreading conditions of Ven. Yin-shun's works in mainland China in three dimensions: differences in circulation through different distribution channels and in different areas; differences in audience; some special distribution channels. This paper ends on an optimistic estimate of prospect for the reception of Ven. Yin-shun's works and thoughts in mainland China.
