Different to other part of the Bingling Temple Caves 炳靈寺石窿, the Upper Bingling Temple Caves belong to Tibetan Buddhism, with a certain number of historical relics which are valuable to the study of the Tibetan Buddhism. In the past, the temple did not bring to scholar’s attention because it is located in remote mountain districts, has inconvenient communication. The Caves have been investigated into until August 1997, and serial number of the caves and niches were given. In this paper, wall-paintings, sculptures, collections and so on from the caves are published. Based on result of the investigation, author made his suggtions about the protection of the historical relics from the Upper Bingling Temple Caves.
