| 摘要 | The name of Dusha God was inetioned in a famous Dunhuang MSS about the Bud-dhist kindling activity at mogaoku dated from the eighth day of the twelfth lunar monthin the year of 951,this MSS is now stored in Dunhuang Academy.where is the DushaGod cave situated?and what is the meaning of Dusha ?So this presend paper gave themanew explanation. The Dusha God was the Thousand-armed Avalokitesvara’s anothername only used in Dunhuang then.The Dusha cave is No 161 today.The personal wor-shipping cave of The first manager of Guiyijun zhang Yichao was under the 161 namelyNo. 156,both are built by Zhang’s family and all painted several Avalokitesvaras(in-cluded Thousand-armed Avalokitesvara).Zhang Yichao once pilgrimed Lhasa , and washelped by the Dusha God(Dunhuang MSS P3554).But the Dusha legend was originedfrom ancient Khotan(Dunhuang MSS stored in the National Library of Peking No. 1349),this inspired us to further study the relations of Dunhuang with Tibetan andKhotan. |
