Ratified by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage,from 2003 to 2004, the Stone Inscription Art Museum of Shandong Province, Heidelberger Academy of Germany and the Institute of World Religions, CASS co-investigated the stone Buddihism sutra inscription on the Hongding Mount of Dongpin County, Shandong Province. Though synthetic condution of social means and naturl scientific technologies, the investigation which was based on the fristhand date discerned Chinese characters seriously, collected all sorts of data then made three-dimension modles by computer. By using those modles, rubbings could be adhered to the surface of precipice, then the concave and convex features would appear clearly. From this way, conlusions which were drawn from the geographic infromation, differentiation of words and criticism of Buddihism sutra are integrated and reasonable.
