Yi Jing the Monk of Tang dynasty was a famous translator of Buddhist scriptures and left many volumes of works, including Biographies of Eminent Monks Going to the West for Buddhist Scriptures, Nanhai Jugui Neifazhuan and Records of the West, which is one of the most important. The Russian copy of No.Φ209 Dunhuang work is an unfinished work which has confirmed to be an incomplete copy of Records of the West by Yi Jing the Monk.
