We selected some common materials in restoration and some the latest ones, which used for conservative purpose on the wall-paintings at Magao Grottoes, and worked on the simulated pigment samples. After aging at different environment-relative humidity, CO2 and light, the color changes of the pigment samples were measured and calculated. An analysis of color data shows that polyvinyl acetate emulsion and polyacrylic acid emulsion are better materials for the conservation of wall painting at such a dry environment of Mogao Grottoes.
