敦煌佛教藝術的西傳——從新發現的新疆阿艾石窟談起=Westwards Influence of Dunhuang Buddhist Art Based on A-ai Grotto, A Newly Discovered Buddhist Cave in XinJiang Uygur Autonomous Region
In 1999, A-Ai Grottoes were discovered at Kucha of Xin Jiang Uygur Autonomous Region . By a careful analyzing and study of shapes of construct as well as its motif, art style , technique of the mural painting and its historical background of A-Ai grottoes formation, we found that A-Ai Grottoes bears an extremely sim ilarity to Mogao Grottoes of Dunhuang in many aspects. Thus, it draws forth a new consideration on the phenomena.
