This article attempts to make a further discuss about the archaeological conclusion of the bottom burning remains at Cave 78 of the Maiji Mount Grottoes which was drawn by Mr. BU Lian-sheng under the consideration way of the historic cultural stratum, and at the same time, this article is trying to correct the ready-conclusion on the question of division of the history into period for the existing sculptures at the bottom stratum of Cave 78. On the ground of more archaeological study and other evidences, this article goes further to making a decision that those big shrines were constructed at a much earlier time than the period of destruction of Buddhism that was leading during the Northern Wei Dynasty and there were several signs showing that the shrines had been put in used by before that tragic event came. The time that the early period shrines has been build could even be traced back to the Later Qin Dynasty or even earlier than that Period.
